The Administration Unit is located at Road Town Police Station. It is staffed by civilian employees, who are appointed under General Orders of the Virgin Islands Government.
This Unit is responsible for the Human Resource function of the Force, including training and recruitment. Additionally, it undertakes typing duties and assists Police with various clerical needs.
As well as providing human resources and administration support for the force, the unit also provides a number of important services for members of the public including:
- Receiving and processing requests for Police Certificates
- Dealing with the initial requests for Visa Waivers
- Dealing with the initial request for Police Reports
- Dealing with the initial request for copies of fingerprint impressions
- Dealing with the initial application to request a firearms license
