Police are investigating a report of a robbery of a patron at a bar on Wickhams Cay 1 close to 8pm yesterday evening.
Investigations indicate the victim was seated in the outdoor area of the bar when she was approached by two black males, both wearing hoods which partly or mostly covered their heads and faces. One was carrying a handgun.
One of the two males waved the gun at her, grabbed her handbag and proceeded to the next table. The same assailant then attempted to grab another handbag but was unsuccessful. The two males then fled the scene with the one handbag in hand. No injuries were reported.
The handbag reportedly contained a cellular phone, a SIM card, personal items and a small amount of cash.
Investigations are ongoing.
